Another sleepless night, now first in the queue for the Sunrise Festival in Karnak Temple.
With a 03:30 wake up call, we met up for coffee at the lobby, some “Nescafe”, cake and off we went to catch a small ferry boat to cross the Nile from the West to the East Bank.
Now first in line to go in, we are waiting for the military captain to give us the go ahead to get in!
It seems that we need to do a quick kilometre by walk once they open the gate. This is the only way to secure a good spot and enjoy the whole magical experience…
…counting down the minutes!
