The secret to a long and happy life.

To the contrary of what you have been thaught.

Thousands of lotions, supplements, vitamins and treatments are advertised constantly as rejuvenating, and promoting a longer life.

Although I prefer not to argue on their effectiveness, since I lack the scientific background, the solution might be much easier and less costly than applying such remedies.

This solution is simply living the now, the present moment.

Start by being aware of your breathing, are you breathing to the fullest potential? Are you filling all your lungs, embracing the air coming in, and the release on the exhale? Breathing is the most important life force for us, both physically and on an energetic level.

Secondly, feel your feelings. Consider the warmth of a pleasant moment, enjoy the laughter of a funny one and embrace the beauty of a challenging one… make sure to live it through, nothing is forever so it will be over soon, but make sure to embrace the pain, since through destruction comes opportunity, strength and the will to survive. How are you feeling now? Is this where you see yourself? Do you deserve better?

Finally, take a look around you, and notice the details, the sky, the sun, the moon, any birds or animals in the surrounding. Listen to the sounds of the waves, or trees moving with the wind. By doing this you are connecting to mother earth and extending the now as much as you require.

If you want to push it further, then you need to upgrade the game by pushing towards a healthy lifestyle. Eating clean, drinking lots of water, exercise, meditation and avoiding bad habits. In this way, you will look and feel younger, have less anxiety, be more energetic and be able to focus more.

I promise you, that even if you don’t live up to 100 years, and you practice the methods above, you would have still lived longer than most of the rest.
