Day 15 – The Great Pyramids of Giza

Concluding the expedition with the most famous Wonders of the World.

As per usual drill, we met at 06.30 sharp, all geared up and ready to go, coffee and Ahmed the driver drove us up to the entrance of the pyramids. Again, I was the first in line to enter Khufu.

Upon giving the go ahead, I am quite sure that I was one of the fastest ever to reach the King’s Chamber. In fact, I managed to have the whole pyramid for myself for approximately 5 mins, so I took the opportunity to jump into the “sarcophagus” for a very specific meditation… It was worth the effort.

In the past, I had read that the Kings Chamber echoes, and vibrates when strong voices chant, and it is amazingly true. Once I was inside, I hummed and chanted OM from the Sarcophagus and the whole room started vibrating, and the echo was very pleasant, most probably even healing!

After we took turns into the sarcophagus, we sat down to do a quick meditation, and the energy was so beautiful that all the other tourists sat down around the room too, and shared the space with us. At this point, the energy was so beautiful that I did not wish to leave. In the end, we connected the Pyramids with the 7th Chakra – Crown which is the connection to the Divine Source.

At one point, one of the (male) tourists in the room stood up and started chanting in a strong manner. We let him finish, and decided to leave since now the energy was starting to change given that a lot of tourists were coming in. So we took our time to go down and meet Rami.

He complained a bit since we had to do 20 mins, but ended up doing 45 mins, but we really couldn’t just stand up and leave.

After this, we had the chance to visit some tombs and made our way to Khefre. This was a first for me too, and upon climbing in we felt a soft emotional energy. We somehow managed to climb into the sarcophagus too, although in a rush.

The activity was complemented with a “picnic” next to the pyramids, where we had breakfast and some coffee until the camel handlers came to pick us up for a panoramic tour.

The final stop was the magnificent Sphinx, where we took some photos as a memory, and then back to the Guest House.

Indeed we realised that the trip was really coming to an end now!
