About CB

A demon and an angel shaking hands over an amber circle

I’ll be honest with you from the first line: I’m not a guru. I’m an entrepreneur running two businesses, I’m still materialistic more often than I’d like, I live very much in ego some days, and I get triggered by petty, stupid details. The difference now is that when it happens, I study where it’s coming from — and then I’m able to flow again. That’s the practice. Not perfection. Flow.

My awakening didn’t arrive in a meditation retreat. It arrived when I touched the bottom, after the end of a nine-year relationship. I’d always been drawn to the metaphysical and the esoteric, but that moment cracked something open that never fully closed — it locked me out of the third dimension, and I started to feel, hear and see things that normal, mundane life doesn’t show you. This blog began there, with an oracle reading and a one-way ticket into documenting whatever came next — including fifteen days among the temples of Egypt that changed me more than any book ever did.

The journey has cost me things. Friends and contacts who no longer fit. The habits I used to hide inside — the binges, the numbing. It cost me the version of myself that was a narcissist, and gave me back someone more understanding, more conscious of what’s true and what’s good — with compassion. I’m still evolving. Always a work in progress. You’ll see that in these pages: the essays here aren’t lessons from a mountaintop, they’re notes from inside the process — on healing, letting go, and whether the healing ever really ends.

If you found this at 2am because you feel like you might be going crazy — because you sense that something is wrong with the world you’ve been sold and you can’t un-sense it — you’re who I write for. You’re not crazy. And if you’re right at the start of your own awakening, here’s the one thing I wish someone had told me: enjoy this period. Soon it will be over, and the magic dissipates into everyday life. That’s not a loss — it’s the point. Start with I COME IN PEACE!, or walk the Egypt Expedition from Day 1.
